Coffee + me, a love story
I liked drinking coffee before I moved to Seattle, but my love for it grew 10x when we moved to Seattle in our late 20’s. I also worked at Starbucks headquarters, which improved my understanding of coffee beans and brewing processes. Here are some of my favorite spots we’ve visited, or recipes at home which I’ve made. I hope this post will inspire you to try a different cup of Joe with all of the possibilities out there!

2. Cappuccinos by fireside at Storyville cafe in Pike’s Place
When it starts to rain in Seattle, you can go inside a cafe and have a cup of coffee until the rain settles down.
3. Lavender and mocha lattes in the art district of Savannah, Georgia
We went on a weekend get away to Savannah, Georgia and I fell in love with the southern scenery
4. Almond coconut milk lattes in Nashville, Tennessee
One of my favorite local shop is Honest Coffee in Nashville, Tennessee! They use an unique milk alternative- coconut and almond milk combined for a creamy deliciousness. Their latte art is also one of a kind.
5. Roze lattes at Cafe Roze in Nashville, TN
Yet another favorite spot for me locally is Cafe Roze where they use rose water in the lattes, complete with rose petals for the prettiest cup.
6. Coffee and beignets at Cafe du Monde in New Orleans, LA
The classic pairing tastes delicious together. I had black coffee because there’s so much sugar in the beignets already!
7. Coffee and puri bhaji in Goa, India
When I visit family in India this breakfast can’t be beat! Black coffee and spicy puri bhaji in the mornings will wake you right up.
8. Mochas at Dancing Goats in Atlanta, Georgia
I love in-house dark chocolate mochas that aren’t too sweet.
9. Pistachio and rose milk lattes at Stay Golden in Nashville, Tennessee
These coffees are unique and refreshing to change up the normal routine.
10. Cold brew with orange and whiskey barrel aged beans + cinnamon roll at home
For Christmas last year I bought coffee beans which were aged in Kentucky whiskey barrels. It may sound strange, but the coffee has whiskey notes in it from the barrels! I made cold brew coffee and iced it with candied oranges in it. I also made some homemade cinnamon rolls to pair with it. It made the morning extra special.
